When is the platform fee charged?
The platform fee is deducted from each milestone payment at the time the customer funds it. For example, on a $1,000 milestone at 3%, $970 goes to the vendor and $30 is the platform fee.
Is this real escrow?
SafeTbuild is a milestone-based payment management platform, not a licensed escrow provider. Funds are processed through Stripe and held in Stripe's payment infrastructure. Transfers to vendors occur only after customer approval.
What if there's a dispute?
Either party can open a dispute on a milestone. Our admin team reviews the evidence from both sides and makes a resolution decision — either releasing funds to the vendor or refunding the customer.
How quickly do vendors receive payment?
Once a milestone is approved, we initiate a transfer to the vendor's Stripe Connect account immediately. Funds typically arrive in the vendor's bank account within 2-5 business days.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
